Company Overview

The Company

APM Automation Solutions Ltd. is a leading manufacturer and expert in volume and level measurement instrumentation. Its flagship product, the 3DLevelScanner, represents a new family of devices that takes the guesswork out of measuring the level, volume and mass of materials stored inside a silo or open bin with 3D mapping of the contents. It incorporates APMs unique patented technology to a range of 3D volume and level measurement solutions that address applications previously thought to be beyond the scope of level measurement with unparalleled degrees of accuracy.

On 18th of December, 2013 – APM Automation Solutions Ltd. got acquired by Emerson Automation Solutions and is now a part of Rosemount.

APM Technology how it works

The APM 3DLevelScanner is the only presently available device that delivers accurate volumetric measurement of bulk solids and powders, regardless of storage silo, bin or container type and size and harshness of the storage environment. It incorporates APM’s unique dust-penetrating technology to achieve accurate measurement during filling and emptying. The 3DLevelScanner employs an array of three antennas which transmit low frequency pulses and receive echoes of the pulses from the material surface. The usage of three antennas enables the unit measuring each echo’s direction, in addition to time/distance. The device’s Digital Signal Processor samples and analyzes the received signals for providing highly accurate level, volume and mass measurements of the stored material and generates a 3D representation of the position of product within the container for display on remote computer screens. This unique device measures practically any kind of material stored in a large variety of containers, including silos, large open bins, bulk solid storage rooms, and warehouses.
